Government funding available for new boilers

Research has shown that replacing an old, inefficient boiler with a new A-rated high efficiency condensing boiler and full set of heating controls will significantly cut your home’s carbon dioxide emissions, and could save you as much as £340 a year.  However for some people the cost of replacing their boiler stops them benefiting from these savings.

Thanks to many years working in the industry, Warmer Homes has secured funding under the Government’s Affordable Warmth Scheme (also known as Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) ) scheme for some home owners and tenants to use towards replacing their old boilers.

But this funding isn’t available for all; you must be in receipt of certain benefits to receive the funding and the Warmer Homes team will need to visit your home to ensure your boiler is eligible to be replaced using the funding.

You’re eligible for the Affordable Warmth Scheme if you or someone who lives with you are in receipt of the following benefits:

The funding is also available to home owners or private tenants in receipt of a number of other benefits.  For a full list of qualifying benefits, please click here.

This funding is available to homeowners and privately renting tenants.  However if you are a tenant or a leaseholder, you will need to have the permission of your landlord before you can have any work done.
